Supply Pick Up
Our target dates for supply pick up are some point between 8/27, 8/28, and possibly 8/31. Once we have a concrete plan we will let you know. Part of supplies also includes a device. Kindergarten through second grade will receive iPads, and students in grades three through five will receive a chromebook. If you ordered a PTA supply kit, you will receive it on your pick up day. Meet The Teacher We are planning for you and your child to have an opportunity to meet the teacher. We are currently exploring options that we hope to share with you soon. Similar to supply pick up, we are targeting 8/27, 8/28, and 8/31. More to come soon. New Faces and Places This summer we had the opportunity to welcome some new staff to our Patton family! In addition to new staff, we have a few teachers who have changed grade levels. 2nd Grade: Mrs. Stanton (previously 1st grade) 3rd Grade: Mrs. Johnson (previously 2nd grade) 3rd Grade: Mrs. Levin (new teacher) Teaching Assistants: Beth Hartig, Summer Sander, and Anna Toczycki Calendar If you follow this link, it will take you to an updated District 25 calendar that highlights all of the updates to the school year. Daily Schedule: Our goal is to create an engaging and enriching day for each of our students. Students will be following their daily schedule with a mix of synchronous and asynchronous teaching/learning activities. All K-5 teachers will use Seesaw as their primary launch point for digital learning management, while Zoom will continue to be our primary video conferencing tool. This will create a consistent starting point for all our students. Teachers may use additional digital learning tools to enhance and extend their lessons. Typically, students will start off each subject area with synchronous instruction that will range from 15-30 minutes. Then students will transition into small groups or independent practice which will be a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous experiences for the remainder of the subject. Below you will find a sample schedule to help visualize the flow of a typical day. Your child’s teacher will share their specific class schedule at the beginning of the school year. They will also help students set up home routines and schedules as well as establish and practice norms of remote instruction and participation. Below are two sample schedules. (Each grade level will have different timing, and there will also be a schedule for PM kindergarten.) Comments are closed.
