Good Afternoon Patton Community, Below you will find your weekend updates. I hope that during spring break you are able to find quality time with your family and friends. Be sure to spend time reading a book or two and be sure to post your pictures online (see directions below). We look forward to seeing all of the students again on Monday, March 30. PATTON PRESS Click HERE for the latest issue of the PATTON PRESS ELECTION INFORMATION Dr. Bein sent out a letter last week to all families presenting information about the April 7 election. At Patton, voters will be entering and exiting the gym directly through the exterior doors that lead into the gym. (We will not be using the C.A.P. doors.) There will be a building attendant as well as a district administrator present in the building during the school day. During this day, students will be inside for recess all day to maximize our security. DROP EVERYTHING AND READ! All of Patton Dropped Everything And Read this Friday. Below are tweets of the activity!
Mix It Up Day On Thursday, Student Council along with Mr. Morkert and Mrs. Koenig sponsored our Mix It Up Day Activity. Students were grouped across all grade levels and the main purpose was to get to know other students in the school you might not already know. The goal was that by the end of the activity, everyone could walk away with four new friends. The activity was very successful as you can see from the tweets below.

Hello Patton Community, What a difference a little warmer weather can make?! We went from hats, gloves and snow pants, to T-shirts by the end of the week. It has been so great to be outside this week and enjoy the warm weather. We had a really great week at Patton. I try to limit my "Tweets of the Week" to six, but I couldn't narrow it down. Remember, you can always follow us on Twitter or Facebook to get daily updates on what is happening in the building! FULL WEEK OF SCHOOL Just a quick reminder to everyone that next week is a FULL WEEK of school. Due to the cold weather days the parent teacher conferences were canceled. If you would like to conference with your child's teacher, please reach out to them to schedule a time to meet or talk on the phone. THE ROAD HOME A few of our fourth grade Panthers have put together a clothing drive that will begin on April 1st. If you have any gently used clothing you are able to donate, please send it in with your student in grades 3-5. LOST AND FOUND Next week is the last week for you or your child to check out our lost and found for any missing items! Any remaining items will be donated over spring break. The piles have been getting smaller, but we still have quite a few items remaining. TWEETS OF THE WEEK

Hello Patton Community, I hope everyone is enjoying what appears to be a warm up in our weather. What a pleasant surprise it was to look at the upcoming forecast and see 50's being projected! I for one am definitely looking forward to a warm up in the weather. Below are your updates. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend! PARCC Testing We had a successful week of PARCC testing this week. The students did a great job and really put forth their best effort. The PARCC assessment does come in two different phases. The next phase is the End of Year (EOY) assessment which will be administered in late April/early May. We will provide more information as we get closer, but if you want to learn more about the assessments you can find information on PARCC's website at http://www.parcconline.org/for-parents. PERSONALIZED LEARNING Personalized learning activities have been happening throughout some of our intermediate classes. Different classrooms are at different stages of their personalized learning projects, but it is so neat to see what different students are passionate about. MISSING A GLOVE...HAT...PILLOW?! Patton's lost and found bin is overflowing! Please have your child stop by the tables we have set up near the office. Feel free to take a peek yourself if you are in the area. Items not claimed by spring break will be donated. And yes, there really is a pillow. JUST MOVE IT CHALLENGE Register now for the Just Move it! Challenge.
