Hello Patton Community, I hope everyone had a great week. Parent/Teacher conferences commence on Monday and Tuesday. This is a time for the teacher to share information about your child and their learning, but this is also an opportunity for you to ask questions. As parents, you play a very important role in your child's education and we value your partnership with us. We hope that you have a fantastic Thanksgiving break. Be sure to let those around you know that they are appreciated and that you are truly thankful for them. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! Eric Larson & Kelly Vignocchi SAFETY INFORMATIONNow that we are through the first trimester we thought this would be a good time to remind everyone of a few general safety items as well as pick up and drop off courtesy tips: During pick up and drop off, we would like everyone to "Be Safe, Be Kind, and Follow Directions." This little saying is one that we have been using with our students as it can easily be applied to any situation. Please help model this behavior in very simple ways.

Hello Patton Community, This week has been a very busy and exciting week for our students. Students were treated to a Veterans Day Assembly, as well as a PTA Cultural Arts Assembly. We are so fortunate to live in a supportive community where are students are afforded so many opportunities. VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY Check out the video below to get a taste of what the kids experienced at the assembly. YOGA CLUB Our Patton Yoga club had a huge turnout this week. So many students came to learn the poses. Stay tuned for more Yoga opportunities in the future. First through third grade students, you are up next!
PTA CULTURAL ARTS ASSEMBLY Thank you again to the PTA Cultural Arts Committee for organizing an assembly that allowed students to watch and experience different elements of dance. The students really enjoyed the experience! Below are some pictures and a video from the assembly. Hello Patton Community, Today our students were treated to a Veterans Day Assembly where they heard a Veterans Day message from 2nd Lieutenant Natalie Koffarnus. The goal of the assembly was to honor Veterans and for students to have a greater appreciation for what it means to be a Veteran and the significant role they play in the freedoms we enjoy everyday as Americans. We were blessed to not only have Natalie as our guest speaker, but several local veterans joined us, all of whom are connected to or related to Patton students and staff. Our students were treated to a Marine Color Guard, the singing of the "National Anthem" by the Arlingtones, a message from 2LT Koffarnus, an opportunity to ask her questions, and the singing of "America the Beautiful." Our fourth and fifth grade students sang "Flag of Freedom" to our Veterans as well. In 2LT Koffarnus's address to the students she asked students to raise their hand if they knew someone who was a Veteran. Amazingly the majority of students raised their hand. She encouraged each of them to call and thank those individuals for their service to our country. I hope your children were inspired by today's assembly and have a great appreciation for those who have served. Below are some images from our assembly. Have a wonderful evening, Eric Larson
Good Afternoon Patton Families,

Family Hour of Code
Similar to last year, Patton will be hosting our second annual Family Hour of Code. We would love to have as many families participate as possible. if you would like to join us for the fun, please fill out this RSVP form. This year's event will be held on December 9, 2015 beginning at 6:30 pm.
Footballs, Soccer balls, Basketballs, oh my...
We have discovered that there are an increasing number of students who are bringing in their own playground balls to school. While on the surface this might not seem like a big deal it does have an impact on supervision outdoors as well as within the classroom. Students should not be bringing in their own balls as we have plenty for them to play with here. Additionally, when students arrive in the morning, they should be going directly to where their class lines up and not playing on the playground.
