Hello Patton Community,
It amazes me that there is only one more day of school left in the year. Where did the time go? (Seriously, where did it go?) I want you to know that I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Patton. About a year ago, I met with teachers individually to get to know them and learn more about Patton. Every teacher, (and I do mean all of them) expressed that the Patton Staff is like a big family. It caught me off guard, in a good way, that this was such a consistent message that everyone was sharing with me. After a year of working alongside the staff, I can attest that this place really does operate like a family. As parents, you have truly been blessed with an amazing team of teachers and staff members at Patton. You have a dedicated group of individuals who strive on a daily basis to create rich and meaningful learning experiences for your children. As a staff, we also recognize that we have an amazing and supportive group of parents. I am deeply appreciative of all of your support and I know the teachers are as well. The Patton community is very special! I will be sending out occasional updates over the summer, but until then, I wanted to wish you a happy summer, and please continue reading with your children over the summer.
We had a truly amazing morning as the entire school participated in our Spirit Day activities. A BIG thank you goes out to Mr. Dolniak, who arrived at 5:00am this morning to set up the games and activities for the students. Also, another BIG thank you to all of our parents who came out to help run each of the stations. Our kids had a wonderful time, as did the staff. Thank you all for making this such a memorable experience for our Panthers.
The final issue of the Patton Press for the 2014-15 school year is online! To read it, click here. Thanks to all of our reporters as well as Mrs. Melamed for keeping our community informed of Patton happenings and news!
A Note from The Food Service Department
Just a reminder that all funds in your student's lunch account will carry over to next year. Balances for students moving on to middle school will move with them. Please clear up all negative balances by June 8th. Students with negative balances will start the year with alternative lunches.
