Shrek, The Musical - Fifth Grade The fifth grade students dazzled the Patton students and their parents with incredible performances on Tuesday and Wednesday. Four performances! We are so proud of their effort and commitment to putting on an exceptional show. Also, a big thank you goes out to Mr. Whitaker, Mrs. Anderle, Mrs. Goumas, Mr. Morkert, Mrs. Rusch, and Mrs. Maloney for helping all of this be possible! Additionally, this would not be possible without the support of amazing parents and community members. Greenbrier vs. Windsor vs. Ivy Hill vs. Westgate vs. Dryden vs. Olive vs. Patton Once again, District 25 will host the Summer Keyboarding Challenge. Senior Walk On Thursday afternoon, Patton was pleased to welcome over 40 former Patton students who are graduating from high school this spring. Current students enthusiastically cheered them through the halls. It truly seems that students at both ends of their school careers get something special from this event, as do the adults! Patton Musicians in Award-Winning Hersey Band The Hersey High School Symphonic Band recently earned the title of the 2019 SuperState Honor Band! This means, right now they are the best band in the state of Illinois! To earn this title, high school bands from all over the state submit a recording in hopes of being invited to perform at the SuperState Band Festival at the University of Illinois. Hersey earned that privilege and then competed against other top high schools who all performed live for a panel of judges on May 5. Hersey's performance swept away the competition, earning the coveted "Honor Band" title for 2019! Rocket Launch Our Rocket Lab participants launched their hand-built rockets this week on a beautiful afternoon. The launch is the culmination of weeks of study and hard work by Patton 4th and 5th graders and is spearheaded by Mrs. Cioni, Mr. Morkert, and Mr. Dolniak. Check out the video below! Senior Walk - May 23 We will be hosting our third Senior Walk on Thursday, May 23! Our Hersey Seniors and their families will be arriving to Patton between 2:45 and 3:15. The traffic team will have an area blocked off along the main drive, near the blacktop to allow for our guests to pull through and park in the blacktop area as we simply do not have enough parking spaces in our lot. Walkathon Thanks The Patton Student Council would like to thank everyone for all of your help in putting together the walkathon this year! Crayola's Color Cycle Project The Patton Social Service Club is collecting any kind of old and dried up markers for Crayola’s Color Cycle Project which will recycle them, helping to Save the Earth. There are collection boxes all over the school so if you find dried up markers in your classroom, or bring from home, drop them in! Arlington Heights PTA Chipotle Fundraiser Join us at Chipotle at 338 E. Rand Road in Arlington Heights (Northpoint Shopping Center) on Saturday, May 4th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm for a fundraiser to support Arlington Heights Council Of PTA Scholarship Fund. Bring in this flyer, show it on your smartphone or tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 33% of the proceeds will be donated to Arlington Heights Council Of PTA Scholarship Fund. AHCPTA Scholarships are gifted annually to D25 students based on available funds. This year ten scholarships are being awarded on May 2nd to deserving college-bound high school seniors who have attended D25 schools. Also in the past, scholarships for summer programs have been awarded to current D25 students. AHCPTA is hoping funds will allow summer program scholarships to again be available in 2020.
