This Week at Patton: Celebrating Day 70 of School and Gingerbread Men in Kindergarten! From Our Nurse and Social Worker... Patton monitors weather conditions daily. Weather permitting, all of our children participate in outdoor play times. Studies have demonstrated significant benefits when fresh air and free playtime are included in the school day. Studies also show that children who are properly dressed will not become ill or worsen viral illnesses due to weather conditions. All children well enough to come to school are expected to participate in outdoor play. The only exception is a note from a doctor indicating 1) a diagnosed reason to limit fresh air playtime and 2) a prescribed length of time the child needs to remain indoors. We do not honor parent requests. Sarah Klancnik, Patton Nurse ([email protected]) With the colder weather upon us, please reach out to me if you are in need of winter items such as boots, coats, gloves, etc. Barb Donahue, Patton Social Worker ([email protected])

Pennies For Patients
Patton Families: The Patton Student Council is THRILLED to share with you that as a school, Patton was able to raise $6,169.50!! This is a phenomenal amount. Thank you all for your help in this and in helping your child to play a part in making a difference.
Pennies for Patients is an outreach program of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that connects schools and local blood cancer patients, with the goal of ensuring that no child has to take on cancer alone.
Upcoming Student Assessments
The District Assessment Window for the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and FastBridge opened on December 2nd. Students will be tested throughout the weeks leading up to Winter Break in both reading and math. Please look for communication from your child's classroom teacher that includes specific testing days. In preparation for these assessments, getting a good night's sleep and eating a healthy breakfast can greatly set a child up for success. Thank you in advance for your support with this!
