Walkabout Demonstrates Patton Spirit The Patton community showed a new level of determination and compassion Thursday afternoon! Despite less than ideal temperatures and occasional rain, our students, staff, and family members (not to mention a couple princesses, a witch, Spider Man, Obi Wan and Rey) enthusiastically took part in this year's new version of our annual Walkathon to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation. It's a wonderful thing to see us all come together to help children's wishes come true - thank you to all! Monday, May 31 - No School
Band Opportunities at Patton Most students in D25 begin their band experience in fifth grade. There are many instruments from which students may choose. There is no requirement for previous musical experience for most instruments, but if a student wishes to learn percussion (drums, mallets, bells, etc.), there is a requirement that the student have 2 years of formal piano lessons. More information about this and all the instruments offered in fifth grade and beyond may be found here: Elementary Band Information Attention FIFTH graders - if you didn't participate in band this year, but you'd like to in sixth grade at Thomas, there will be an opportunity for you to join! This isn't something that is usually offered, but with all the covid crazy of this school year, the band department is opening up a beginning instrument class to sixth graders in the fall. More information and sign-ups for this will take place in August. Please reach out to Miss Horton with questions.
