All third and fifth graders, as well as any new fourth graders to Patton this year, will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) on February 16th, 17th and 18th. The CogAT is a standardized assessment designed to measure learned reasoning and problem-solving in three cluster areas: verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal. So that your child is able to perform at his/her best, a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast will be important. Thank you in advance for your support! Picture Day Information We are excited to offer school pictures again through Color Portraits this year! The order process this year will be completely online. No paper forms will be sent home or collected at school. Details about how to place the online order can be found in the PDF below. Please be sure to complete your order prior to Picture Day. (Do not send money to school.) In-Person Students School pictures are scheduled with Color Portraits on February 23 and 24. Each class will be provided with a specific time to have their pictures taken so that classes do not mix. As the dates get closer we will share a schedule so you know when your child’s picture is being taken. Remote Students Remote students will have an opportunity to schedule school pictures on Monday, March 1. As we approach the date, a sign up will be sent to remote families to select a time to enter the building to have their picture taken between 8:00-10:00 am. Color Portraits has a strict safety process that they have developed throughout the school year to help all families and staff members feel safe during picture day. Below includes some of their safety standards: · Everyone is masked · Hand sanitizer is available at the photo station · Staff keep a 6 feet distance · Children stand instead of sitting on a stool (unless needed) · Name cards are dropped into a box and not handed off · No paper order forms
