Good Afternoon Patton Community, It is difficult to believe that Winter Break is two weeks away! This has been a really busy week with many exciting things happening throughout the building, which I think you will see in the Tweets of the Week section. Hour of Code Next week our students will be participating in the Worldwide Hour of Code initiative. As many of you know we have many students who participate in the Patton Code Club. There are a multitude of benefits to coding, and coding does not always need to happen in front of a computer. This week the Patton staff all participated in an unplugged coding activity. Be on the lookout in upcoming updates for a Family Night of Code coming in January of 2015! If you'd like more information about coding, please visit code.org. ICTM Math Contest #1 Below are the results of the first ICTM Math Contest for our 4th and 5th Grade students. Congratulations to all of our students. Continue to persevere and work hard. The next contest will be in early February. A big thank you goes out to Mrs. Cioni and Mrs. Anderle for being our coaches for this club!
Tweets of the week For those who may not have made the leap over to Twitter, I would encourage you to give it a try. If nothing else, you can use it to see what is happening at Patton on a daily basis. Many of our classroom are using Twitter and the school is always tweeting out what is happening. Give it a try and follow @AHSD25Patton.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Sincerely, Eric Larson | Principal, Patton Elementary School PTA WEEKEND UPDATE 12.4 December PTA Meeting and Coffee and Cookie Social PTA will hold our December meeting next Tuesday, December 9th at 9:15 am in the Commons.
