STEP 3 (HYBRID) CONTINUES NEXT WEEK Currently, the metrics for Full In Person (STEP 4) have not been met. This means that on Tuesday, 1/19, students will continue to follow their typical hybrid (STEP 3) schedule. The District Office will notify families when the metrics for Step 4 have been met. School Pictures Color Portraits has reserved tentative school picture days during the last week of February. Remote families will have an opportunity to schedule a time for pictures at Patton during this week as well. We are working on options for families who do not wish to enter the school, to ensure their child is still included in the Patton yearbook. Color Portraits has a strict safety process and we are excited to have them back for picture day. Stay tuned for more specifics in early February as we solidify details. Lunch Recess Information We will be adjusting our zones for lunch recess to allow different groups to play in the snow. If your child’s class is in the field, we ask that you send your child with proper snow gear. The classrooms scheduled to be in the field during lunch recess for next week will be Anderle, Goumas, Morkert, Cioni, Litberg, Copersmet, Jedd, and Levin. (For students without snow gear, we will allocate a space on the blacktop for them.) Lunch Service Beginning 1/19 A daily cold lunch will be offered next week, beginning on Tuesday. This meal is offered to all interested students, at no cost. (Funding is being provided by the USDA.) Each morning during attendance, teachers will find out which students are having the school-provided lunch. Parents/guardians do not need to fill out any forms or make any payments. The menu is below, and details are provided on the District website. Parent/Teacher Conferences The next round of parent teacher conferences are scheduled for February 11 and 12. We will use SignUpGenius as we have in the past to allow parents to sign up. We anticipate the sign up will be released in the next week or two. We will send a targeted email about conferences as the sign up gets closer to provide you with further information. From Our Social Worker In the next several months I will be doing Erin's Law lessons in each of the classrooms. I will be doing them on Mondays (on Zoom, of course) to ensure that all the children in the class see the presentation. Please see your child's classroom schedule for that information. If you have questions or concerns please let me know. The books we will read and more information on Erin's law can be found on the District website. Have a great weekend!
