One Book, One School
On Friday we debuted our One Book, One School: Wishtree by Katherine Applegate to our students. One student in your family is bringing home the beautiful book and we hope you will begin reading this weekend. Check the reading schedule on the LMC site at the Wishtree tab: click here. On our website you will also find a special video by the author especially for District 25, as well as discussion questions and activities. Let the new reading adventure begin! - Idelle Melamed, LMC Director Also - if your family received two books (our mistake), PLEASE return one to us, thanks!

Patton PTA's Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin patch is rapidly approaching! It will be held on Friday, October 12th from 3:35-5:00 pm. Order forms were sent home last week via backpack mail to pre-order your Morkes donuts and caramel apples. Payment is due when placing your order and all orders are due on or before Wednesday, October 3rd. Don’t miss out! Late orders cannot be accepted. We will need lots of help to pull off this event: unloading pumpkins, sorting orders, baking homemade treats for the bake sale, selling items at the event, etc. To sign up to help, please click here. Thanks to all in advance for your help. Contact Stephanie Musolf [email protected] or Julie Kozlik [email protected] with questions.

Heavenly Hats Fundraiser a Success
Thank you to the generous Patton community for participating in our Student Council fundraiser for the Heavenly Hats Foundation Foundation(TM). We were able to collect $358 dollars, which the Foundation will use to provide brand new hats of all kinds to heroes of all ages who lose their hair due to the treatment for cancer and other medical conditions. The Foundation's website can be found here.
A Note from the School Social Worker:
As fall and winter approach, you might find that your child(ren) needs a winter coat or other cold-weather item. Please reach out to my confidential email/voicemail if your children are in need. I am also able to share local resources if you have other needs. Barb Donahue, LCSW [email protected] 847-506-5927
