Panther Activity Day - June 3rd
There has never been a school year like the one we just experienced together. You should be extremely proud of yourself for the way you have persevered through this most unusual time in our lives. We have reflected on this school year remembering the positives...learning from the negatives...and preparing for the future. Even though this isn't our normal Panther Activity Day, I sincerely hope that the activities below will create lifelong memories with you and your family members to cherish. If you choose to take pictures or videos of you and your family performing the challenges please feel free to send them to my email address ([email protected]) and tweet them to your friends! From Mrs. Donahue, Patton's Social Worker
It's almost time to celebrate summer! As fun as summer is, I'm sure we have in the back of our minds "What about next year?" We have no answers to that question yet, but it doesn't hurt to gather information to help us prepare. The article below, written by clinical psychologist Dr. Tara Quinlivan, gives some strategies for parents and teachers about the hopeful return to school. Teaching Teams for 2020-2021
Below you will find our current staffing plan for classroom teachers at Patton for the 2020-2021 school year. We wanted to give a special shout-out to Mrs. Jandt as she will be teaching first grade at Westgate next year. We are excited for her and excited for Westgate. We will also be adding Mrs. Pacini to our teaching roster. Mrs. Pacini taught kindergarten last year at Ivy Hill and we are excited to have her joining our team at Patton. We are also excited to welcome Mrs. Aprati who will be serving as an additional math interventionist and will be teaching our 4th grade advanced math students in the fall. Mrs. Aprati comes to us from Olive Elementary.
Summer Keyboarding Challenge
Please encourage your child(ren) to participate in the Summer Keyboarding Challenge. This is an extremely beneficial skill that students will use going forward. An email with each student’s username and password for the Typing Training site will be sent to parents the week of June 1st. The link below will provide more information. Let's see if Patton can hang on to the Golden Keyboard trophy for another year...reigning District 25 champion Carter is at right, with his proud principal!
