March Madness at Patton!
Mrs. Melamed put together a fun video to introduce the LMCs March Madness program, one of the many ways she gets our students excited about reading. Please take a look, and maybe ask your student about it!
Spirit Day - March 20
On Wednesday, March 20, students are encouraged to dress up like a teacher;
we can't wait to see all of the extra teachers on this day!

Early Registration for the 8th Annual ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge ends Friday, March 22nd! Register now to receive early registration perks including a $5 discount on the entry fee, a guaranteed race t-shirt and the option to have your race packet delivered to your D25 school. Race day is Saturday, April 13th - Register Now! You can find more information about the race at abc25challenge.com. All proceeds are returned directly to the schools via teacher grants for innovative teaching methods and materials.
Not a runner? Nursing an injury? Looking for a different experience on race day? We need volunteers to make race day a success. Many options are available and most are flexible to enable you to volunteer and also participate in a race. Volunteer participation counts toward your school's participation goal. All volunteers who sign up before 4/10 will be entered in a drawing for prizes from our sponsors! Sign up here!
If Patton has 63 participants this year, we will earn a pajama day! So far, we have 7 registered, so we have some work to do, but we can do it! Join us on April 13th to help us meet this goal! You can run, walk or volunteer to be counted as a participant. Contact Pam Sloss at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Election Day - April 2
April 2 is election day, and as many of you know, Patton is an official polling place. In the interest of student safety, Patton (along with other schools who are a polling place) will have indoor recess all day, regardless of the weather. We will secure the voting area (the gym) so that visitors cannot access the rest of the school building. Voters will have to enter/exit through the gym doors. Additionally, there will be a District 25 building attendant on site to redirect any visitor. As always, student safety is a top priority while your children are in our care.
