Happy Halloween Patton Community, This has been a truly wonderful week. The weather held out for the parade and all the students looked great in their costumes. Today was a fantastic example of how wonderful the Patton community truly is. Each classroom had numerous games and activities all sponsored by parent volunteers. Thank you for being such a supportive community and always looking for ways to support the school. We are truly blessed. We just have a few updates for you. I hope you have a fun and safe Halloween! If you find yourself in need of a coat for your child, or other items for the winter, please contact our social worker, Barb Donahue: [email protected] Mini Course Update PTA is working to assemble a team to plan and run mini courses this winter. We are currently looking for volunteers to serve as Site Supervisors at Patton on the days mini courses are held. Are you interested in helping keep this program going and growing? Do you have an hour to spare after school three or four days this winter? If you would like to help run this program for PTA or would like more information, please contact Jenny Stanhope [email protected] or Bob Corley [email protected] for more information. If we do not find two Site Supervisors by Monday, November 10th, the mini course program will be cancelled for this year. Book Fair & Holiday Shop Need Your Help! New chairpersons are needed for the Holiday Shop and Scholastic Book Fair for the 2015-2016 school year. If interested, please consider volunteering with the current chairs before their terms expire at the end of the year. Please contact Joanna Esposito at [email protected] or Rachel Moran at [email protected] for more information. Traffic Team Openings The traffic team is looking to fill the following spots to help ensure we have enough parent/guardian volunteers to make our arrival and dismissal times as safe as possible. If you have ANY extra time on Monday/Thursday/Friday mornings or Monday/Wednesday/Friday afternoons for the main lot OR Tuesday through Friday afternoons on the 1st grade side, please consider giving just 20 minutes of your time on any one of those days/times. Our small but mighty team has volunteers on multiple shifts and we would like to alleviate some of the pressure on all of our team members. If you are interested, contact Krin Hupp at [email protected] or by text at (847) 544-9485. Thanks! School Pictures are In! If you ordered school pictures, you should have received them this week. If you missed the original picture day or are unhappy with your pictures, retake day is Tuesday, November 18 in the morning. Please simply bring in your original pictures in order to exchange them for the retakes. As a reminder, the class keepsake pictures will be distributed in January since we need to wait for all retakes to be taken to complete those. Please direct any questions to [email protected].
