Teachnology Fair 2016 - March 9th 7-9pm @ Thomas Middle School
Does your student have a passion for technology? Do they like to share with others how they use technology for school and for fun? District 25 and Arlington Heights Council of PTAs will host an Education Fair with the theme of “Teachnology 2016”. Students and staff will have the opportunity to teach peers, parents, and the Arlington Heights community about how they use technology. This could mean teaching others a skill or simply sharing an experience using technology. For more information click here. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS REGISTRATION FORM ON OR BEFORE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2016. Six Flags Read to Succeed LET’S CELEBRATE READING! We hope all Patton students take time for some reading and participate in the (Optional) “Six Flags Read To Succeed” Program. The program began on Friday, January 22, 2016 and ends on Friday, February 19, 2016 – no exceptions! Children are encouraged to read at least 6 hours (360 minutes). They will be rewarded with a free ticket to Six Flags in Gurnee, IL. Parent information and student reading log came home in backpack mail last week. Any questions? Kindergarten Open House Our Patton Kindergarten Open House will take place on Tuesday, February 9th from 4 to 6:30 pm. Incoming kindergarteners for the fall of 2016 are encouraged to come and check out our programs and meet the kindergarten teachers. Our Next PTA Meeting is Next Tuesday, February 2nd Please join us at 7:30 pm in the LMC for our next PTA meeting. Mini Course Fees Due If you have signed your child/ren up for Mini Courses, you should have recently received an invoice outlining payments due. Please send your checks in via backpack mail as soon as possible so we may pay our invoices from the providers. Thanks so much for taking advantage of this unique program! Attention All Room Reps - Reusable Kits for Valentine’s Day Parties Anyone interested in using the PTA reusable kits (bowls, plates, cups and silverware) for the upcoming Valentine’s Day Parties, please let Angie Johnson know at [email protected]. We have a limited number of kits and they will be available on a first come basis. Just Move It Challenge Registration is Now Open! Register now for the Just Move it! Challenge. The Arlington Heights Council of PTAs and the ABC/25 Foundation invite runners and walkers of ALL ages and abilities to participate in a 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk that combines fitness and fun for the entire family! Please see the flyer here for more details. Two participation awards will be given, one for elementary schools and one for middle schools.
