The end time has been revised to 8:00 PM, allowing more time for parents to shop for one-of-a-kind creations. Patton Art Director Alyssa Maloney is looking for a small number of parent volunteers to assist with cash register work as well as general shopper support during the show. Perhaps we’ll all go out after? SPOTLIGHT: A Children's Celebration of Art and Community Illinois PTA in partnership with Millikin University's College of Fine Arts presents SPOTLIGHT. This is a FREE event to CELEBRATE the children in our state. This event is open to ALL CHILDREN and FAMILIES in Illinois. This afternoon of celebration, held on Millikin University's Campus in Decatur, Illinois, will open up the ARTS to children of all ages through the various Workshops available for them to participate in. Adults and children alike will be inspired by the gallery displays of pieces created by Pre-K students through High School Seniors. SPOTLIGHT has something for everyone. Bring the whole family and help us celebrate our children and their contributions to the Arts and their Community. Spring is coming and the Arlington Heights Council of PTAs and ABC/25 Foundation invite runners and walkers of ALL ages and abilities to participate in a 5k and 1 mile Run/Walk on Saturday, April 16th that combines fitness and fun for the entire family! We still NEED Volunteers! Over 75 volunteers are needed to make race day successful. Street marshal volunteers are needed for both the 5K and 1 Mile races; this is a great way to cheer on family and friends while they run or walk! The impact: cuts to programs for children and families throughout the state - including cuts in education, health services, violence prevention programs, and juvenile justice initiatives. The Fact Sheet attached lists only a few of the many services cut that are impacting children and families throughout Illinois. Your voice can be heard! Stand with the Illinois PTA today: contact Governor Rauner and your Legislators and urge them to pass a budget that provides equitable, funding at the level needed for the operation of programs that support health, education and welfare of all Illinois children and families. Spring Class Photo Order Envelopes- Due April 13th As a reminder, Spring Class Photos will be taken the morning of Wednesday, April 13th. Order envelopes and payment are due no later than the morning of April 13th. No late orders will be accepted at the school. Late orders will need to be mailed directly to Color Portraits. Also, please use a separate order envelope for each child. Unfortunately, combining orders in one envelope causes issues with distribution. Pre-K Story Time April 14th at 9:30am Incoming Kindergarten students and parents/caregivers are invited to come to the Commons on April 14th from 9:30-10am for a story and craft. Story time is a great opportunity to meet other incoming students and their families and for the students to become more familiar with Patton.
