Looking for Room Parents for next year! Forms went home this week. Please complete and return to school by June 1st. Extra forms are in the office. If you wish to order, go to www.educationalproducts.com/shoppacks and enter school ID: PAT011. Online ordering available thru June 1st. Save time and money by ordering supplies through the PTA. Supplies will be delivered directly to your child's classroom before the first day of school. Any questions can be directed to Mairin Gradek [email protected] Spirit Day Volunteers STILL Needed!!! The most fun & exciting day of the year is just around the corner on Wednesday, June 6th! We need lots of helpers for each event so please consider joining us to make this an awesome & memorable day for our kiddos before heading off for summer vacation. This is a fun day for parents too! Thank You, Ice Cream Social Volunteers Thank you to all the parents and staff who volunteered their time to make the Ice Cream Social and Scholastic Book Fair a huge success. It was a great evening, despite the rain. Scrapbook for Mrs. Ryl Several weeks ago the PTA put out a request for parents to write 3x5 notes of kindness to Mrs. Ryl. Recently a committee of PTA volunteers assembled all these notes, plus hundreds of notes of kindness that the students wrote in class, into a giant scrapbook - thank you for your contributions! The PTA presented this scrapbook to Mrs. Ryl at the Ice Cream Social in honor of her retirement. It was a wonderful way to send her off and show her our appreciation. The end of the school year is very near, and so is Mrs. Ryl’s retirement! Students and families are invited to celebrate with her tomorrow, Friday, May 18th 6:30-8pm on the blacktop. We will have a DJ to dance the night away and pizza, snacks and of course ice cream will be available for purchase. We could use your help with set up, take down and cashiering while the Ice Cream Social is also going on. These shoes will be donated to the World Wear Project which helps kids in third world countries and keeps shoes out of landfills. Incoming Kindergarteners are welcome to come listen to a story and make a craft. Younger siblings are welcome to come! Summer play dates and times will come home in the am/pm assignment letters. Yearbook Ordering Deadline Is TomorrowAs a reminder, the order deadline for yearbooks is tomorrow, Friday May 4th. If you order by this date, your yearbook is guaranteed to be delivered to the school prior to the last day and shipping is free. Teacher Appreciation Week Teacher appreciation week is next week. The PTA Hospitality committee has planned a fun week full of Dr. Seuss themed activities. To see the details of the week click here. Free Arts Workshops Sponsored By the Illinois PTA SPOTLIGHT is a free event to celebrate the children in our state. This event is open to all children and families in Illinois. This afternoon of celebration on May 6th, held on Millikin University’s Campus in Decatur, Illinois, will open up the arts to children of all ages through the various Workshops available for them to participate in. Adults and children alike will be inspired by the gallery displays of pieces created by Pre-K students through High School Seniors. Bring the whole family and help the Illinois PTA celebrate our children and their contributions to the Arts and Community. Click here to read more. PTA Meeting this Tuesday The last PTA meeting of the year is Tuesday, May 8th at 9:15 am in the Commons. Our meetings take less than an hour, and little ones are welcome. Please join us! Patton PTA Bylaws Did you know that Patton PTA has a set of Bylaws that govern our operations and contain our basic rules as an organization?
