Fun-Filled, All-School Family Night Coming Next Week The ProKids Show is coming next Friday, January 19th, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. A great family show for all ages; filled with magic, music, and a positive message. You won’t want to miss it! If you plan to attend, please RSVP here so we have enough seats. For a sneak preview of this exciting family event, check out http://pkshow.com/news/ PTA Meeting Next Week Our next PTA meeting is Tuesday, January 16th at 9:15 am in the Commons. Our meetings last less than an hour, and everyone is welcome, including little ones. We will need a quorum to elect our Nominating Committee. Directory Spot Is For School Use Only Just a reminder that the information contained on Directory Spot cannot be used for commercial, charitable, political, or solicitation purposes. If you have non-school information to share (professional services, community event, etc) we encourage you to use the Patton Elementary School Parents Facebook page. That page is not affiliated with the school or the PTA. Reminders from your Traffic Team Our Traffic Team volunteers make every effort to arrive at Patton School for the morning drop-off between 8:40 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Our main responsibility is to ensure a safe environment each morning for student arrival to school. Teacher supervision begins at 8:50 a.m., which also means on inclement weather days, the doors will not open for students to go inside until 8:50 a.m. If this is a concern for you, please park in the lot or along Patton Avenue for Kindergarten and wait until students are permitted to go inside. Also, colder weather brings additional challenges. If you know your children need more time or assistance to exit your vehicles, please consider parking instead of using the curbside drop-off. We have many vehicles to move through the line and do not want to make families feel rushed if they need more time. A last reminder, please drive slowly in the Main Lot’s “thru lane” next to the curbside lane. We have had two VERY close calls of pedestrians almost being hit in the crosswalk. Thank you for your cooperation. Get Ready to Roll - Roller Skate Night is Thursday, January 25th All Patton families are invited to Orbit Skate Center, 615 S. Consumer Ave., Palatine, from 6:30-9pm for tons of family fun. Admission is free! We only ask that you please donate food items which will be sent to the Wheeling Food Pantry. Bring your own roller skates, or rent for a small fee. Any questions, please contact Laurie Flight ([email protected]) or Kara Catsaros ([email protected]). Questions or Ideas? Do you have a question or a great idea you want to share with PTA? A topic you would like to see on a PTA Meeting Agenda? Please email your ideas to Patton PTA at [email protected]. We are always looking for help for upcoming events and committees and would love to hear from you! Thank you! Comments are closed.
