This is the last post for the 2019/2020 school year. We would like to thank everyone who has supported the PTA and a special thank you to all of the members that volunteered their time this past school year. With all of your help and contributions we were able to offer so many amazing programs and events for the children, teachers and staff at Patton. We hope you all have a fun and safe summer! Below is a list of food truck events where a portion of the proceeds will be going back to the foundation. Saturday May 30th - Toasty Cheese and A.Sweets Girl Saturday June 6th - Five Squared Pizza (pre-order required) Friday June 12th - Fat Tomato Taco Truck and My Funnel Truck All 3 events will be at Thomas Middle School from 5-8 pm. Social distancing will be enforced at all events. 2020-2021 Room Reps and Volunteers We are starting to recruit volunteers for the 2020/2021 school year. We are looking for room reps and for volunteers for our programs and events. Below you will find a link to the Room Rep form and a separate link for the general PTA Volunteer Opportunity form. Arlington Heights Council of PTAs Scholarship T-shirts D25 families are invited to support the Arlington Heights Council of PTAs Scholarship Fund by purchasing a Keep Calm and Go Outside T-shirt (Winning Design by Sofia Fraser-2nd grader at Dryden Elementary). Now more than ever we can all use the reminder to Keep Calm and Go Outside! Profits from t-shirt sales will go toward the 2021 D25 Scholarship Fund that benefits current D25 students as well as graduating high school seniors. T-shirts will be distributed in May. Please join us for the Patton Bingo Night this Friday, March 13th from 7:00-8:30! The whole family is welcome to attend this fun evening. Mr. Whitaker will be our special guest Bingo Caller. Kindergarten Story Time - Tomorrow If you have an incoming kindergartener for the 2020/2021 school year, please join us Friday, March 13th at 9:30am for our first Story Time. This is a great opportunity for your kindergartner to become familiar with Patton. There will be a craft and Mr. Larson will be reading a story. Please feel free to invite any new families that might not be aware of the event. There will be other story times on Thursday, April 9th, 9:30-10am and Friday, May 8th 1:45pm-2:15pm if you are unable to attend next week. Please submit your reading hours online by Monday, March 1st to ensure that your child earns his/her ticket to Six Flags Great America this summer. To submit the hours online, please visit: www.sixflags.com/books The code for Patton is: ZEJ86 Once you enter the code, you will be asked to choose your child’s teacher and then log the minutes for each book your child read. Any student with a log of 360 minutes or more will earn a free ticket to Six Flags Great America for use on designated days this summer. The tickets will be sent to classroom teachers in May.
