As Veterans Day is approaching and Patton is preparing for our assembly, I was doing some research for possible videos to run at the assembly. These two really caught my attention. While I did not serve in any branch of the military, I am related to many who do. One thing that I was encouraged to do was to always thank those who served. At first, it was a little uncomfortable to walk up to a complete stranger and say, "Thank you for your service." However, the more I did it, the easier it became. It's a simple act to thank someone, however, for some reason, it isn't always the easiest. I would like to challenge you to thank those who have served and are currently serving for their dedication to our country. I think you will find that your simple "thank you" will be provide encouragement to our service men and women. Keep your eyes open, and thank a Veteran. Sincerely, Eric Larson | Principal, Patton Elementary School
