Hello Patton Community,
We had a beautiful day for our Halloween Parade! I'll upload a few of the images later in the weekend and pass on a link to those for you to see if you weren't able to be here. To our parent volunteers... THANK YOU!!! I am always amazed at how incredible our parents are. Below are a few updates. We hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!
Have a fun, safe Halloween!
A Message From Student Council
Beginning Monday, and running for the following two weeks, the Student Council will be sponsoring its annual “Pasta for Pennies” fundraiser, raising money to help cure leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin’s disease and to improve the lives of patients and their families.
Your child should come home with an individual collection box and a note explaining the drive and its purpose. Please help them collect any change from around the house, and bring in over the next two weeks. The classroom raising the most will win a pasta luncheon sponsored by Olive Garden.
The generous Patton community has helped to make this one of our most successful annual events! Thank you in advance for your support of this terrific organization.

Box Tops for Education
As a school we have been blessed to have Mrs. Cosley organize all of the Box Tops for Education efforts for the past 6 years. We would love to pass the baton to a new parent, and Mrs. Cosley would be happy to train someone to begin taking it over. Please consider emailing her if you are interested at email@example.com - Thank you Mrs. Cosley for your many years of service!
Author and illustrator Ethan Long will visit Patton and present to students the afternoon of November 18th!
Mr. Long has written fun and engaging fiction with terrific illustrations that can be read by our younger readers but appreciated by our intermediates. Some books that you or your students might know are Fright Club (our newest), Wing Bros. Math Spectacular and Manana Iguana. He is also the illustrator of the Stick Dog series. Some of his other new titles will be in the LMC soon. We will provide an order form for his books this week and he will personalize them for students who purchase one! You can read more about him at http://www.ethanlong.com/
