Good Afternoon Patton Community, It's amazing how quickly a four day week goes by. Below you will find some information about what is coming up at school. Please be sure to read through it and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Kindergarten & First Grade Literacy Night We are very excited to offer a literacy night for our kindergarten and first grade parents next TUESDAY, October 21st at 7pm. Patton teachers will be sharing information about several key areas of reading instruction and the types of reading assessments that are used with our kindergarten and first grade students at Patton. We will also be providing suggestions for supporting your young reader at home. Spectacular Special Night, November 13! Parents - Join Us for a Spectacular Special's Night on November 13 from 7-9pm! Below is a clip from the Steve Harvey Show, where our Patton Panthers talk about the puppy mill law they helped create as a result from a project they did at school. Twitter You may have noticed that Twitter is becoming used more and more as a communication tool and a way of showcasing some of the activities that are happening in the classroom. If you are not on Twitter, I would encourage you to check it out, and you can begin by simply following the school @AHSD25Patton. Many of the teachers have begun using Twitter. It can not only be used for communication, but also for professional development with teachers. More to come on this in the future...
Have a wonderful weekend!
