Walkabout T-Shirt Orders: Deadline is Thursday! If you'd like to order a T-shirt for the Walkabout, you can do so by following this link. The shirts are $10 each, and a portion of the proceeds goes directly to Make-A-Wish. The deadline for ordering is April 29. We will be sending more information soon about the Walkabout, scheduled for May 27, 2021. Are You Moving? If you know you are moving and will not be attending Patton next year, please alert Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Schmit in the office as this helps us with our planning for the upcoming school year. Signing Students In or Out of School Should your child need to enter or leave school during the school day (including for lunch), we ask that you notify the teacher and Patton's office beforehand, via email or phone. When you arrive at school, you will need to sign your child in - or out - using the QR code posted on the doors OR the ONLINE FORM. Students are required to be signed in if they arrive at 9:05 or later. The form can only be filled out when you arrive to pick up/drop off your child. The form "time stamps" your entry and filling it out too soon provides inaccurate attendance information. If you fill out the form before picking up your child, the office will be requesting you to fill it out again so the time accurately reflects when your child was picked up or dropped off. Parent Feedback 2021-2022 Here you will find a link that will take to a form should you wish to provide the school with any information you feel would be important as we consider placement for your child for the upcoming school year. Please know that the placement process for all of the Patton students is extensive and well thought out. To that end, it is important to understand that requests for a specific teacher will not be considered, as allowing parents to request teachers puts a significant strain on an already extensive process. All staff members are committed to providing the best education for your children. This form is to be completed by Friday, May 7, 2021 Morning Supervision The Patton staff begin supervising the students at 8:50am. We begin letting students in the building at 8:55, and expect all students to be present and in their classroom by 9:05. Any student who arrives at 9:05 or later needs to be signed in by the adult who dropped them off at school. Patton Scene #1! Greg Tang Math Tweets Mrs. Jenkins Class! Patton Scene #2! Repeat Information From Last Week For Families Who Have Selected In-Person Learning - New Zoom Guidelines We are so excited to have more students returning in-person schooling. Patton currently has 92% of the student population in the building. Due to an increasing number of families who have selected the in-person option, we have some classrooms that have no remote learners. Moving forward we are adjusting our guidelines when it comes to in-person students logging in remotely on Zoom. Our goal is to return to as close to “normal” as possible during this time. The expectation is that students who selected “in-person learning” are here in the building. Only under select circumstances would we allow a child to Zoom in. For Families Taking a Vacation Students will not be allowed to log in to Zoom while on vacation. Our teachers may work with you to provide your child with assignments/alternative activities to complete while they are away, or they may choose to catch your child up on material missed when they return. After your vacation, we will allow your child to Zoom into the classroom remotely in order to follow the recommended quarantine guidelines by IDPH. Please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Klancnik to determine a date of return. For Students Who are Sick and/or Required to Quarantine Please contact the school office to report the absence and based on direction from our school nurse and administration, we will determine if your child can Zoom until cleared to return to school. Please keep in mind that many teachers are not automatically on Zoom so arrangements will need to be made in advance. For Students with Appointments During the School Day If your child has an appointment during the school day (doctor, dentist, orthodontist, etc.) he/she should still attend school at Patton until they need to leave for the appointment. Students will not be allowed to Zoom in for part of the day to accommodate various appointments.
